Colorado Springs Utilities

Change the Current

It’s possible for people to have a relationship with their utility provider. And a good one at that.

Shining a light on the
power of community.

Colorado Springs Utilities provides electric, natural gas, water, and wastewater services to the Pikes Peak region. We wanted to shine a light on the progress that Colorado Springs Utilities makes possible in this community and share how the organization is looking forward to the future. So, we celebrated citizens who Change the Current, i.e., improve the community through energy-efficient and water-wise practices. We shared stories of firefighters, Air Force cadets, Olympians in training, tiny-house builders, and a businessman who converted an elementary school into a brewery. We also featured Colorado Springs Utilities employees for the work they do powering this community. It all comes together to give this municipal utility a unique brand position. And that makes a big difference.

If we can infuse that in everybody, to think about the things they do and how they relate to other people and the environment, we’re all gonna be better off.
