When Executive Orders threatened to defund Tribal Colleges and Universities, and scholarships that support Native students, we knew we couldn’t stay silent. For many Native American tribes, the bison symbolizes resilience and strength—they run toward storms, not away from them. This powerful symbol is a way to show how we stand firm and face the storm head-on to protect Native education.
We took an intentional approach by spotlighting real Native student stories. Each student story speaks to their perseverance and grit. So we put the spotlight on their unwavering commitment to education and their refusal to back down despite all the uncertainty on the horizon.
