Comfort Dental

Generic Doesn’t Build Trust

Looking at year-over-year results, the challenge seems simple: optimize ad spend and improve performance metrics, including clicks and conversions, to maximize ROI on paid search and social placements. However, the conventional survival instinct for regional healthcare providers is to cast a wide, generic net — but that doesn’t resonate with a community that requires trust and accessibility.

But, there was a deeper challenge: to simply advertise “dentistry” wasn’t enough, creating a localized presence in a deeply competitive field. Comfort Dental had powerful, unique benefits — namely, late and weekend office hours — that directly answered the needs of this target audience, serving as critical lifelines for working-class patients who cannot afford to take time off during standard business hours.

The tension was the insight: Comfort Dental had the right services, but they needed to build a closer connection with localized target audiences to prove their true relevance to the franchise location’s communities.

The Strategic Pivot: Hyper-Local to Win

The strategic counter-argument to a broad regional blast was deliberate and data-grounded: An integrated marketing approach focused heavily on localized, interactive empathy. Instead of acting like a faceless regional corporation, the campaign transformed the brand’s media presence to feel intensely community-centered. Rather than broadcasting identical corporate messaging, the strategy was designed to build a closer, more authentic connection with target audiences.

This strategy marked a #neverbeendone moment for the Comfort Dental account and differentiated the campaign by giving regional offices a localized presence, further distinguishing Comfort Dental in a competitive field.

The Solution

In-laws. Sloppy dog kisses. The “five-second rule.” We’ve gotten comfortable with a lot. Isn’t it time we got comfortable with dental care? By highlighting all the seemingly uncomfortable things that have become second nature, we helped Comfort Dental break the scary stigma surrounding going to the dentist, all while standing out from the sea of fake smiles and white lab coats. Affordable prices, convenient locations and you get to sit in a reclining chair? Sounds pretty comfortable to me.
